GENETICALLY HANDICAPPED PERSONS PROGRAM (GHPP)
The Genetically Handicapped Persons Program (GHPP) is a health care program for adults with certain genetic diseases. The GHPP helps people who are on GHPP with their health care needs. GHPP works with doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other members of the health care team in providing many types of health services.

When you submit the GHPP application, it is very important that you include your prior year’s Federal Tax Form 1040. If you are a dependent on another person’s tax return, that return must be submitted. If you do not submit a complete application, GHPP staff will not be able to authorize GHPP services that are beyond your eligibility period.

CALIFORNIA CHILDREN’S SERVICES (CCS)
The CCS program provides diagnostic and treatment services, medical case management, and physical and occupational therapy services to children under age 21 with CCS-eligible medical conditions. Examples of CCS-eligible conditions include, but are not limited to, chronic medical conditions such as cystic fibrosis, hemophilia, cerebral palsy, heart disease, cancer, traumatic injuries, and infectious diseases producing major sequelae. CCS also provides medical therapy services that are delivered at public schools. CCS will connect you with doctors and trained health care people who know how to care for your child with special health care needs.

HAVING ACCESS ISSUES?
Project CALLS: Through the Hemophilia Federation of America, Project CALLS [Creating Alternatives to Limiting and Lacking Services] is an opportunity for you to share your story and help the entire bleeding disorders community. HFA collects stories from across the country, collates the data, identifies trends, and uses the information to help policymakers and providers better understand and meet the needs of our community.
My Patient Rights: The California Chronic Care Coalition (CCCC) launched this website in California and is taking it nationwide to help people who have been denied treatment or medicines, experienced delays or are dissatisfied with the decisions made by their health plan. Visit their website to share your story or to file a complaint.
HCC Access Issues Questionnaire: the Hemophilia Council of California (HCC) created this Report in order to learn more about barriers individuals have experienced in obtaining access to the appropriate care/treatment of their bleeding disorder.
Covered California
Covered California is a free service that connects Californians with brand-name health insurance under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. It’s the only place where you can get financial help when you buy health insurance from well-known companies. That means when you apply, you may qualify for a discount on a health plan through Covered California, or get health insurance through the state’s Medi-Cal program. Either way, you’ll have great health coverage.
