4 STEPS TO BE CAMP READY
Check your technology: take a minute to make sure you can access Zoom. For the best camp experience, download the free Zoom app on your tablet, laptop, chrome book, or smart phone ahead of time. Click Here for the full list of downloads available.
Device: Each camper needs a device that can access internet, has a camera, and has a microphone.
Mark your calendar: This is a crazy time and we are all losing track of what day it is. Plan ahead by putting the camp schedule into your phone and set reminders!
Camp T-shirt: make sure to wear your camp shirt on the first day of camp on Monday, July 20!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I join Monday’s Camp Zoom?
Make sure to register via the link provided to you via email. Once you register, you will receive the Zoom link for the ‘Nevada Chapter of NHF’ as they are partnering with us on this year’s teen camp. If you register ahead of time the link to join the meeting will be emailed to you. If you register right before the meeting, the link will pop up on your screen.
You will be sent a new Zoom link each day for Camp. Please start logging in at least 10 minutes early in case you have any trouble.
I don’t have a strong enough internet connection at home or a device:
Please let us know ASAP if you do not have a strong enough internet or a device with a camera, as these are requirements to be able to successfully participate in camp.
What if I get disconnected or can’t login?
We will be actively troubleshooting throughout the camp program. Text 619-325-9401 if you have any technical difficulties and we will try to help you get back into the program.
What is the best location to Zoom for camp?
Help your camper choose a location for their zoom that is quiet and gives them room to move and do the camp activities. Think about what will be visible behind your camper and if you are comfortable with other campers seeing it. Headphones can help minimize background noise.
What if I have multiple campers participating?
If you have multiple campers in the same house – the best option is for them to be in different rooms out of earshot, on two different devices.
Thank you for your interest in Camp Dragonfly. Registration for this program is now closed.
